There’s a yellow envelope on your door, or pinned in the lobby.
The last roommate to leave:
Place everyone’s keys inside…
(plus, if you received them: key fobs, parking passes & garage remotes)
…and drop the envelope here:

Once we have all your keys, we’ll mail back one deposit check (within 21 days) to the address provided on the enclosed envelope.
No envelope? Please put everything in a sealed bag, well-labelled with your name and address.

Please sign in to the app and make sure you don’t have a balance to pay.
You’re all liable for the total amount; please make sure your roommates have paid too.
Your balance needs to be $0 (or in parentheses).
Balances in parentheses are over-paid; we’ll refund the extra money with the deposit check.
If you’re not at $0, you can request a simple/searchable PDF of your ledger here.

We will mail one check per unit, for the whole deposit.
We don’t know who may have caused damage or under/over-paid; that’s up to you.
We’ll send a ledger and inspection report with the deposit check for your review.

It’s up to the person who receives the check to fairly distribute the money to their roommates.

🔌CANCEL ELECTRICITY
Schedule your electrical service (WE Energies) to end on May 21st
…(or whenever the lease ends, including extensions).

Ending service before your lease ends may result in deposit deductions.
⚠️ If you forget to cancel, you could end up paying the next tenants’ utility bill!
🛋️ DISPOSAL
You are responsible for removing everything from your unit.
Unless you’ve agreed with future tenants to sell / leave things for them.
Label any such items “keep for future tenants”
Sell, trade, or donate furniture & items here:
⚠️ MGMT will not donate / sell items on your behalf
Click for MU’s free item donation / drop-off:
(kitchen, laundry, school supplies, small appliances, bags, etc)
⚠️ Do not put large furniture / mattresses in dumpsters!
⚠️ Anything not donated / sold, you need to throw away, or hire a junk removal company for large items:
Consider combining with neighbors / friends for a bulk pickup!
Don’t contribute to the yearly mess!

Request paint from the office for touch-ups to further maximize the deposit refund.
Please don’t prop main doors open unless actively moving out.
