💵 PAYMENTS

Before your lease starts, you need to pay three charges:

FIRST MONTH’S RENT

FINAL MONTH’S RENT

Even if you’ve paid, please check the total unit balance (shown on the app).

We can’t give out keys if any roommate is behind.

please note:

  • Credit Card payments cost 3% extra.

  • Bank Accounts / Checks do not charge this fee.

  • The app shows your total unit (shared) balance.

  • Balances shown in parentheses are credit (overpaid) balances.



📄 Move-in Inspection

You’ll receive a paper inspection form/checklist with keys when you move in.

📥 MOVE-IN INSPECTION FORM

You are required to fill this out within 7 days of moving in, and return it (signed and dated) to the 929 N 17th St drop-box.

⚠️ Any flaws / issues not detailed on this inspection form will be deducted from the deposit when you move out.


🔑 KEYS

Pick up keys June 1ˢᵗ, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM from:

929 N 17th St Office

Milwaukee, WI 53233

(buzz the office when you arrive)

  • Set up an office appointment with the following link.

    *** No sooner than 6/1 ***

    …unless an early move-in was already approved by MGMT.

    (new requests are closed)

    If that link doesn’t work, email us with a different date / time.

  • If you had an appointment, or you’re here on 6/1 and office staff aren’t responsive to the 929 N 17th St buzzer after 2 minutes…

    Please text “Keys needed for [apartment address / unit number]” to Carlito - (414) 750-2957.

    If there’s no response from either for 5+ minutes, leave a voicemail at the office number (414) 367-9414.

    And a further backup at 262-719-7534.


We encourage you to pick up keys for your roommates if possible.

Keys will be distributed when:

🔹 The Lease and other agreements are signed by everyone.

🔹 An ID card is shown for at least one tenant.

🔹 All outstanding charges are paid, including:

🔸 Security Deposit

🔸 First Month Rent

🔸 Final Month Rent

(Plus any charges from prior leases with us)

NO PAYMENT / NO ID = NO KEYS


✅ FINAL STEPS

(set a reminder to re-visit thESE on move-in day!)


REQUIRED:

  • CLICK TO SET UP ELECTRICAL SERVICE 🔌

    ⚠️ This is required on DAY ONE OF YOUR SIGNED LEASE TERM

    • Even if you’ll live here full-time later.

      • If that’s the case, your summer bills will be cheap.

  • If you have an early move-in, set it up for that day.

  • Otherwise, you’ll back-pay it all, plus $50/month of unpaid utilities.


  • ⭐ Inspect Apartment / Take Photos 📄

    …of any pre-existing flaws, and save them / email them to us. This could save you from security deposit deductions!

  • Fill out the move-in inspection sheet to make sure you get your full deposit back. Return it to the 929 N 17th St drop-box.

    • (You’ll get this inspection sheet with keys)


  • ⭐ Maintenance 🛠️

    Text Carlito (DOWNLOAD CONTACT HERE) for maintenance / repairs if needed.

    • Always include your unit # / address, name, and photos of maintenance issues.

    • Start the text / email with *URGENT* for leaking pipes, fire hazards, power outages, etc. - esp. during the 1st week.

    • Wait 2-3 weeks after move-in to inform us about minor issues so we can serve those with more pressing needs first.

      • Please wait a day or two after requests, then email to follow up with Grant if the work isn’t done yet. Thanks for your patience during this very busy time.

    • See the FAQ page for more on wall-mounting and maintenance.

RECOMMENDED:

  • Safety Check ⚠️

Familiarize yourself with the location of fire extinguishers, alarm pull stations, & exit routes.

  • Test smoke alarms and inform us if any are broken, out of batteries, or nonexistent.

    • (We do this before you move in; it’s a good thing for you to check monthly as well).

  • Payment Splitting / Tracking 💳

    • Campus MGMT only considers your total, collective unit balance, not individual balances.

      • This is the balance shown on the app/portal.

    • To keep your individual payments straight, we recommend:

      • Tracking your payments.

        • (We can provide a complete unit ledger at any time, but not individual payment records).

      • Signing an internal rent-split agreement to clarify your individual responsibilities within the group.

  • Get Renter’s Insurance 🏙️

    This highly-recommended step protects your belongings in the event of accidents, natural disasters, theft, or negligence of other tenants.

    • You can get a policy through our resident app/portal (not sponsored; it’s just easy to set up)

    • Or from a 3rd party like Lemonade, your current insurance provider, or anyone you choose.

  • Start Rent Reporting 📈

    You can build your credit score with on-time rent payments, through the app.

    • It’s a fully optional add-on feature called “Rent Reporting” in the app menu.

  • (Edge / 911 17th / Kensington Tenants Only) 🚪


  • Click the “transferring” button on this page.

  • If Campus MGMT already confirmed that you have a spot:

    1) Make sure you’ve signed the Parking Agreement

    2) Request a pass (and opener, if in a garage) when you pick up keys.
